Kherson #2

Our 2nd drop to Kherson, this one went to a priest of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to be distributed to needy people in the area. Surprisingly quiet around that particular area that day, no loud kabooms that we could hear anyway.
A whole lot of thank you's (as is pretty typical when you meet people here) to the US for all the help we've given them as a country. At a checkpoint, a guy manning it took off his glove to shake my hand and thank us. What a humbling experience when that happens. He was pretty fluent in English, and told me he has a brother living in Massachusetts. Small world! ✌🏻
At the drop, we were also fortunate to meet someone involved with the effort who spoke excellent English, which saves a lot of time with Google Translate!
