The biggest single risk we face making aid deliveries in the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk area is Russian FPV's hunting for vehicles. The later in the day, the less choosy they are - so we now try to head back to Kharkiv by early-mid afternoon.
We're reminded of the dangers of these drones every time we take the highway from Izyum to Sloviansk, where charred vehicles lie by the roadside.
With drone detectors on and a constant eye to the sky (and the pavement - both sides use "waiter" drones who lie in ambush by the side of the road), we'll continue to make the trip until it's no longer feasible.
